Bethany Hamilton’s nephew, Tobias, aged three, died after a drowning incident in Hawaii on March 25, 2023. The surfing champion and her husband, Adam Dirks, were present when the accident occurred at their vacation rental. The cause of death was confirmed by the Hawaii Fire Department.
