Trevor Bauer has been named Pitcher of the Year in the Mexican Baseball League (LMB) after leading the league in wins and strikeouts during the regular season. The right-hander went 11-3 with a 2.23 ERA and 138 strikeouts in 112.1 innings pitched for the Diablos Rojos del Mexico. Bauer, who also pitched in the Major Leagues for the Cincinnati Reds and Los Angeles Dodgers this season, is the first foreign-born player to win the award since the LMB began recognizing a Pitcher of the Year in 1965.
