President Donald Trump has refused to participate in a virtual debate with Vice President Joe Biden and Senator Kamala Harris before the November election. The Commission on Presidential Debates (CPD) announced on Thursday that the second debate, scheduled for October 15, will now be a virtual event due to Trump’s COVID-19 diagnosis. However, Trump’s campaign manager, Bill Stepien, stated that the president will not attend a virtual debate and instead will hold his own rally. The CPD is currently discussing potential alternatives for the debate.
