Tulane football players Makhi Hughes and Sam Howard are looking forward to playing in front of their hometown crowd this weekend. Hughes, a defensive lineman, is from Slidell, Louisiana, and Howard, a quarterback, is from Mandeville. Both players have been impressed by the fan support they have received since joining the team. Hughes said, ‘It’s always great to play in front of your family and friends.’ Howard added, ‘I’m excited to represent my city and my university.’ The Green Wave take on Southern Mississippi on Saturday in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.
