Two Boone High School students were arrested on Thursday after a loaded gun was found on campus. According to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, the gun was discovered during a search of a student’s backpack. The students, whose identities have not been released, face charges of carrying a concealed weapon on school property and bringing a weapon to school. The school was placed on lockdown for a short time as a precaution.
