Trinity Rodman, a member of the United States Women’s National Soccer Team, scored an impressive goal for her team, the Washington Spirit, in their National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) match against the Chicago Red Stars. Rodman’s goal came in the 67th minute and was set up by a beautiful pass from teammate Ashley Hatch. After scoring, Rodman celebrated in a unique way, removing her jersey to reveal a message written on her undershirt in support of Breonna Taylor, a Black woman killed by police in Louisville, Kentucky, in 2020. The goal and celebration drew widespread attention on social media.
