Utility Regulators Reject NV Energy’s Proposed Rate Change for Northern Nevada

Nevada Public Utilities Commission (PUC) has denied NV Energy’s request to increase electricity rates for customers in Northern Nevada. The utility company proposed a $22.8 million rate hike, citing costs for upgrading infrastructure and wildfire prevention. However, the PUC determined that the proposed rates were not justified and ordered NV Energy to file a new application with more detailed information.
