Waymo and Uber have announced a partnership to bring Waymo’s autonomous ride-hailing service to Austin, Texas, and Atlanta, Georgia. The companies plan to deploy Waymo’s self-driving cars on Uber’s platform, allowing Uber users to request rides through the Uber app. Waymo’s robotaxis will join Uber’s existing fleet of human-driven vehicles in both cities. The partnership marks a significant expansion of Waymo’s autonomous ride-hailing services, which are currently available in Phoenix, Arizona.
