Wells Fargo & Company (WFC) announced on March 2, 2023, that it has entered into a Consent Order with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) regarding certain retail banking practices. The agreement resolves matters arising from the OCC’s 2016 and 2018 findings related to the bank’s retail banking business. Under the terms of the Consent Order, Wells Fargo will pay a civil money penalty of $250 million.
