The Chicago Blackhawks showed signs of improvement in their preseason game against the St. Louis Blues. Goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury made 28 saves in his first start of the preseason. Forward Brandon Hagel scored the game-winning goal in overtime. Defenseman Adam Boqvist played well in his return from injury. The Blackhawks will continue their preseason schedule with games against the Colorado Avalanche and the Minnesota Wild.
