The Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA) is expanding to Portland, Oregon, with a new team set to join the league in 2023. The team, which still doesn’t have a name, will be the 15th franchise in the WNBA. The city’s bid for an expansion team was led by Lisa Borders, a former WNBA commissioner and current president of the Atlanta Dream.
