The WNBA announced on Tuesday that Portland will be the league’s 15th franchise. The team, which does not yet have a name or official logo, is expected to begin play in the 2022 season. The city of Portland and the team’s ownership group, which includes trailblazers Trail Blazers owner Jody Allen and former NBA player Arvydas Sabonis, reached an agreement on a deal last week.
