Chinese President Xi Jinping chaired a Politburo meeting on September 12 to discuss long-term plans for the country’s economic and social development. The meeting marked the start of the Central Committee’s fifth plenary session, which will focus on implementing the 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-2025) and the long-term goals set out in the Chinese Communist Party’s 100-year strategy.
