York City Police Commissioner Sharon Dabirian has resigned from her position effective immediately, according to a statement released by the city on Tuesday. Dabirian, who was appointed in 2018, did not give a reason for her resignation in the statement. Mayor Michael Helfrich will appoint an interim commissioner and begin the search for a permanent replacement.
