Dighton-Rehoboth Forfeits First Game Under New Gender Policy

The Dighton-Rehoboth Regional High School forfeited its first football game of the season due to a new gender policy. The policy states that transgender students must play on the team corresponding to their identified gender, which led to a dispute with the Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association (MIAA). The MIAA ruled that the school must follow the policy or face penalties, resulting in the forfeit.
