Florida Governor Ron DeSantis signed the ‘Parental Rights in Education’ bill into law on Thursday, which critics have dubbed the ‘Don’t Say Gay’ bill. The legislation prohibits classroom discussion about sexual orientation or gender identity in kindergarten through third grade, and limits such discussions in older grades if they are not age-appropriate or ‘classroom instruction by school personnel or third parties.’
