Senate Democrats Dare Republicans to Vote on IVF Bill

Senate Democrats have introduced a bill to expand access to in vitro fertilization (IVF) treatments, daring Republicans to vote against it. The bill, known as the Fertility for All Act, would require health insurers to cover IVF and other fertility treatments up to 12 cycles or $20,000, whichever comes first. Currently, only about 15% of employers offer IVF coverage. The bill also includes provisions for surrogacy and gestational carrier arrangements. The Democrats’ move comes after Republicans blocked a similar bill last year.
